Well I meant to post earlier because I was so excited, I finally got some new rock! I took some frags in to the LFS and traded it for a couple pieces of rock. While I was re-aquascaping I decided to get the bicolor blenny and foxface out of my tank. The fox, well he never really did much except eat and poop, he wasn't much for algae either. The bicolor was starting to get too territorial and was harassing pretty much everyone. I can't believe how fast those foxfaces are. The bicolor, well he was just dumb. He hid in the rock so I just took the rock out and shook it over the sump. Plop, done in 10 minutes! The fox, however, was another hour and a half and almost all the rock had to be removed from the tank. What a nightmare. He's gone now, I'm happy to report and living happily in a new tank. Probably eating caulerpa too, the little @$%&! ;)
Unfortunately a nasty side effect, or maybe just because the time allowed to enjoy my tank per year is up, I have dinoflagellates. Ahh, what wonderful creatures...NOT. They are the devils spawn. I have no idea what to do this time as last time I pretty much did EVERYTHING and then suddenly they evaporated overnight. I suppose I am in for the long haul this time. I've already lost a couple of snails. Hopefully this stuff doesn't bloom in the water column like last time. Now THAT was a true nightmare. I'm going to try start dosing kalk again and see if that doesn't help.
