Wow I really haven't posted here in awhile have I? I should really get on this thing more often.
So I went to see Charles Delbeek talk this past weekend. What a great guy. He gave a talk on the Waikiki Aquarium which is very cool and I hope to visit it one day (when I can stop spending money on the tank long enough ;)). He also did a slideshow of a few aquariums in Japan. Talk about extravagant. One tank had 3 whale sharks in it. Unreal!
Not much happening in the tank lately, although my friends are always coming over and saying "that wasn't here when I visited last". I guess they just can't keep up ;). No equipment additions recently which is kind of a bummer. Although I did install a float valve for my top off system (it isn't really a system, just a rubbermaid tote with some water in it and a hose going to the float valve). I went away for the weekend and the damned valonia got sucked up into a couple of powerheads so not as much flow and once again the dreaded brown algae has taken hold. I should be able to combat it with a couple of water changes I figure (listen to me, don't I sound like I know what I'm doing? :P). Anyway, while I was gone I picked up a few more sps frags and some more zoos. I'll have to get some pics up soon.
