Orange Spotted Blenny!!!

The Orange Spotted Blenny is a fish that I considered the "holy grail" of my fish list. I previously had one in 2003 when I managed to convince Alan at JandL Aquatics to hold one for me. He told me he had to fight people off of it and I gladly whisked it away to my tank.  Sadly it liked to jump into the overflow. I fished him out several times but one day he made it down to the sump and jumped out. Fish jerky.  That was probably the only fish I ever cried at losing.

And here we are 7 years later I found another one!  See what I mean about holy grail?!  I have requests in at like 10 different LFS for this fish and nobody can get them in. Its crazy. But then came Ken at BlueWorldAquatic to the rescue!  I now have a orange spotted blenny!!!!  Thanks Ken 1. being such a great guy and approaching me about this and 2. actually sending me this fish. I feel like I've won a lottery! :)

Isn't he soooooooo cute???!!! ;)

And to combat their love of ejecting themselves out of the tank I have eggcrate going into the overflow (which I'm sure he could work his way into if he so desired and was determined about it).  I have a stockman cap on my overflow pipe (he can't get in there) and now have placed full netting over the tank. Surprisingly the netting doesn't make the tank any less bright. I was a bit worried that it would, but not worried enough to stop me from getting this fish ;) Yay me!!
