So someone decided my new little clam would make a nice light snack. It was constantly getting tipped over and dragged to the back (I thought it was current) and after about the 5th time of this happening I noticed that it had been picked fairly clean through the back opening and the mantle was all shrivelled. I didn't see any of my fish paying too much attention to it so either it was a rogue crab or some late night snacking by my fish. I wouldn't put it past my wrasse to be the culprit.
So I just completed week 2 of ultralith and am patiently waiting to see the spectacular-ness. A couple of corals are coloring up nicely but I'm not sure if I can attribute it to the ultralith or not, it hasn't given me any better water clarity but maybe its removing excess nutrients or something. Beats me. I doubt I'll see it really kick in until about wee 8 or so. I'll forge on.
