Well I've fixed up the webspace, lets see how far we can take it :P

So I broke down and added some sand to my bare bottom tank. The wrasse has been out of sorts since I removed the sandbed and he is looking pretty crappy lately with all of his jamming himself under rocks to sleep. I just hope he recognizes the sand for what it is and actually uses it cuz if he doesn't, its coming out. As well I've noticed that the pod population just ain't what it was after the interceptor treatment. There are some still swimming around in the overflow but the main tank is pretty much decimated as whatever was left the wrasse probly ate already. As a result he has gotten quite thin and doesn't have that "full and thick bodied" look that he once had. I suppose it was invitable, now I have to feed more often and the algae is on its way. I suppose a "coral-only" tank is best for types like me. You know, the watery green thumb. I can't grow land plants worth crap but I make up for it in the aquatic plant department.

On to the pics!!! Ok so here are some of the frags I got from Calgary:

A couple of them didn't fare so well including this tricolor acro which I'm really hoping makes it. As you can see the base of it is, well, devoid of tissue but the tip of it still looks good and has polyps.
I also picked up a piece of this awesome pink birdsnest with raspberry colored polyps which is just starting to color up now.
I also got a nice piece of yellow acro which if you look closely, still has polyps but they haven't decided if they're coming out or not. The mother colony of this one is pretty stunning.
This pink one I haven't decided whether or not its a pocilipora or a seratiopora. The person I got it from swears it looks like a birdsnest but the randomness of the corallites seem pocilipora-y to me.
Ah yes, the brown lump. I'm not really sure what this coral is. Its brown and lumpy :P Well it has this neat maze pattern to it that I just couldn't resist. Besides I like watching the brown ones color up, and even if it stays brown its something different.
This big lumpy one, well, once again its brown. But the growth pattern is so thick and well, sort of bulbous I suppose. Another interesting growth pattern. I'm finding that I'm almost as interested in the growth patterns as I am the colors and I'm much more interested in buying a brown coral if it has an interesting look to it. Even if it stays brown its still something neat to look at rather than having different colors of the same stick.
Last but not least, yet another brown fuzzy stick!! Well I just bought this one because it was relatively cheap and I felt like buying something :P

Thats the last of the Calgary pile. I already posted the LPS I got from there in my last post. Here are a few shots of stuff I already had in my tank, including some stuff that is new to me (random findings behind the rocks).

This little guy was a tiny frag I found laying in the corner of the tank. It stayed there for quite some time as I thought it was covered in algae. Alas it was not, it had just browned out and it was hard to see clearly as the lower glass in my tank is so insanely scratched. I managed to mount it (its only about 1cm long) and since then its colored up beautifully. I'm pretty impressed and can't wait to see if its going to stay this color. Furthermore, I have no idea where it came from!!

I just picked these guys up today. A small chunk of pipe organ which is awesome. It has a beautiful green center and kind of reminds me of a lace doily. Hopefully it does well in the tank but its polyps were out about 30 mins after I put it in the tank so I'm sure it will do fine.

Ah yes, my purple fluffball. This acro has the most incredible polyp extension. I mean we're talking ridiculous here. It also has two little barnacles living in it which is totally cool.

And last but not least, a gratuitous pic of my eyelash blenny, what a little poser!
