I am now officially at 2 weeks dinoflagellate free!!! Happiness is :) Well I suppose happiness would be a tank that was not only dino free but caulerpa free as well, but we can't win them all now can we? No worries. The tank is looking pretty damned good and came out okay after this last round of lights out. No casualties and the fish didn't all decide to jump at once. I even took a few pics the other night. Here is a tank shot. I never really noticed how badly the tank is scratched. It's a used tank and I swear the people before me had an 8-10 inch sandbed its so badly scratched. Makes it a real PITA to take pictures, everything comes out a bit hazy. Anyway, my red goby is getting big, he is almost surpassing the size of the lined blenny these days. Apparently the lined blenny maxes out at a mere 1.5 inches so everything is going to surpass him in size ;) Not sure what happened to his lip though, you can see a couple red marks if you look closely. I hope he hasn't been duking it out with one of the gobies.
Lets see, what else do I have for pics? Oh my lone SPS, yellow porites is looking pretty sharp these days. Not only is it sprouting new branches, the polyp extension is unreal. My red macroalgae, which I think is Halymenia, perhaps even Halymenia floresia if I may be so bold. It sure does add some color to the tank and is currently growing like crazy. I just got a small chunk, hmm, well now that I think of it, that was back in February but *nothing* ever seems to grow in my tank and with all the lights outedness I wouldn't have thought it would have flourished. Oh another great find in my tank last night: my yellow polyps!! Heck I don't know what they're called, parazoanthus maybe?? Anyway, there are 8 of them on there, 5 dark yellow ones and 3 really light yellow ones. I'm not sure what the difference is. Maybe being in the darkness mutated them ;)
