Well my first reef related purchase in many a month has come. A snail army was introduced to the tank last night. Twenty astreas and two turbos. So far they're all pretty much hovering in the same areas I put them in last night. Eat! Eat, my pretties!!! I have about 5 different types of algae now, a brown squidgy one, brown fuzzy one with bubbles, green hair, bryopsis (different from green hair :P) and reddish (which I suspect may be cyano). I could use their scientific names but I don't want to make you feel inferior :P (just kidding, I have no idea of their scientific names, well except for bryopsis I suppose). Hopefully the snails help make a dent in the algae or I'll have to resort to making a mess of the tank which I'd rather not do. I think my skimmer could use some tweaking as well as it isn't producing alot of gack lately. Darn finicky thing.

Other than that things are going well. I still have a white sandbed! *gasp* I think this is my world record for having a decent looking sandbed. Usually 2 weeks after installation it looks all brown and cruddy but my (now) two sea cukes are doing their jobs apparently. I hope they don't both split again or things will be getting crowded in there.
