Wheeeeee! My yellow porites made it! I put it in the tank because it was pretty much one of the only sps that didn't have a white skeleton, it was still yellow. I wasn't sure if that was the color of the skeleton or what but I figured I might as well give it a chance. Yesterday its polyps emerged triumphant and I did a little dance. Its recovering nicely and I must say, this is one of the hardiest corals I have ever seen. This is the second time I've thought it was a goner and its come back. Simply amazing.
On a sad note, I found the firefish goby :( I guess during the time I had the lights out and the tank covered some light probably got in through one of the holes in the hood I had drilled for my dual returns (only one hole is being used now for the sea swirl. Through my work I've discovered that no matter how small the hole, if light gets in through it, fish will aim for it. So, he jumped through the hole and became fish jerky. I'm puttin' duct tape over that hole.
