I had a bit of a photoshoot with the tank the other day and just now am getting around to actually posting them. Yeah I really should be more motivated but well, I'm a bit of a procrastinator.
Anyway, the tank is looking pretty good, a couple corals aren't looking so hot, one is the tricolor. I have two frags of it in either end of the tank. I fragged it a few months ago when I was having that STN issue (which has really slowed, its like SSTN now but not affecting as many pieces, just a couple) and now have one colony that is really doing terrible and the other one is holding its own although I do see a bit of STN starting.
Anyway, I have a new video of the tank, its about a minute long and you can see everything. The color isn't all that great but it was a pretty big file so I was happy that photobucket could host it. Its amazing how one measly minute is almost 100MB!
And some new photos!
Aussie Acan Rescue Mission I'd been watching this one for awhile in a store display tank. It had taken a header onto the sandbed more than once. Finally I guess they decided to take it out and put it in the sale tanks. Yay for me! Its gorgeous, I hope it recovers.
Vanderbilts Chromis Finally a decent photo of this little guy. I actually have 2, one is much less skittish though and is all over the tank, the other one just hangs out near the yellow cap and is easier to photograph. What an ordeal to get these guys home and into the tank though (and have them live through it all, sheesh I wish I could get them more locally).
Montipora somethingorother yeah I dunno about this one, but its yellow and pretty and will get really vibrant looking if I go back to Ultralith, which I am contemplating but I just love my ozone machine too much to give it up.
Red zoos these poor little buggers were hidden by that huge yellow cap (which has really taken a beating lately and looks like arse), I moved them forward and they are only just now starting to regain their color after being kept in the dark for some time.
tailspot wrasse a half decent photo, it doesn't happen too often so I figured I had better post it for posterity if nothing else
deepwater acro I'm thinking suharsoni, it has a nice purply quality to it right now, if its the piece I'm thinking of it will go a nice yellow soon.
bluey acro this one looks remarkably much like this one I'm hoping its different but heck, I could do worse ;)
Oh and the silty crap in the bottom of the waterchange bucket did no harm to my nano. I still don't know what it was though, maybe unmixed salt but sheesh how long does it need to mix?? I imagine it just mixed in with the sandbed in the nano tank :)
