Nothing new in the tank. I've decided that those pieces that are determined to croak are going to regardless of what I do. I'm starting to wonder exactly whats going on as the alk levels are fine now and have been for a number of weeks. I've put some new carbon on and the phosban is only a few weeks old. I guess I should take a water sample in to my LFS and get the full panel done. I keep forgetting though.
As for the Aquatronica, all is solved finally. I think the USB ports on one side of the powerbar are kaput. I took the main controller unit back to Ocean Aquatics and hooked it up to a setup they had running there. Of course after a bit of fiddling it worked, took the firmware update and all. When I got home I moved the serial port over to the other side, where I had plugged in the temperature and pH probes, before hooking it up to the computer I tested all the USB ports and three on one side don't work. After determining that I took the plunge and tried to connect to the computer. It worked like a charm! Of course now I need a new powerbar, might as well get it fixed in case I decide to add another probe in the future. Having only 3 working USB ports might be a bit limiting.
