Bleh, sometimes I wonder why I had to pick such a stupidly frustrating hobby. Today I get home and somehow my Tunze 6060 has jumped a notch on its mount and is directly blowing at my prized tenuis colony and blew a goodly portion of its tissue off. I've repositioned the tunze and am tempted to mount it into position with some putty (damned thing!!!) I fragged off a few bits I could save of the colony but I think about half of it is toast and 3 of 5 frags won't make it. It didn't take long for the algae to move in either. I see the tunze got my porites that has been through hell with me (I am confident it will be fine) and my pink birdsnest frag (I doubt it will make it). It also blew one of my frags right off its perch (yes it was mounted down) into the acanthastrea where it promptly got the tissue burned off.

I swear my tank knows when I am going away for a couple of days.

I have also lost about 3-4 frags and can see another one starting from unknown problems. I highly suspect that stupid phosban reactor (which I had hoped to be the answer to my problems, not the cause of more of them). I was doing some reading on ReefCentral about them and apparently people have been losing corals due to RTN and such. I don't know whether to ride it out for another week or just say to hell with it. I offically started it up on Sept 1st and its been running for almost 2 weeks. I think I'm gonna try turning it off for a week. After all, its not like the algae has slowed down at all even though I can't detect any phosphate with my test kit.
