Well I'm looking at my tank tonight and I can see that many of my little acro frags don't have their polyps out all that much anymore. I'm gonna go get some interceptor on the weekend and do the deed. I already had some tissue recession on one of my corals which I don't really know whether its due to the red bugs or something totally different, I fragged it into a ton of little pieces and the main colony is "mostly" intact and then I put both in different areas of the tank. Both are holding strong so far and the main colony hasn't shed any more tissue but I can see that there are a substantial number of bugs on it and many other acros in the tank. I think this is the worst one so far, although looking now, they're all pretty heavily populated. Here and here. My god this is horrifying. Just when I think, "oh that one is the worst, the rest aren't that bad", my camera manages to pick out hordes of them!! I can't wait to get rid of these little bastards.

I can see the caulerpa is starting to rear its ugly head again. Little patches here and there cropping up. I guess I have to do what I really didn't want to. Boil the rock. Nuts. I was hoping to avoid that. Maybe I can just boil select pieces, I'll have to go through tomorrow and see which are the worst ones. I'd rather try to keep it in check than leave it and have it take over the tank like before. I can see bits of halimeda and turf algae springing forth as well. Same rocks as it was on before. I don't much mind the halimeda, and well, really the turf algae is pretty easy to pick off the rock, although I'd rather not have it. I think I'll just concentrate on the caulerpa for now

And if that wasn't the best news, my wrasse is pretty torn up. I guess he's been trying to bury himself in the rock, in lieu of the missing sandbed. He looks like crap, fins all ratty, scales popping and a white thingy (not fungus) over his eye. I"ve taken pity on him and bought him some of the larger grained sand (I think its the "select" size) so I think I'll just put it in the back part of the tank or in one of the corners instead of putting it throughout the tank. So much for thinking he could live without a sandbed.
